Scratchbord portraiture sizes are determined by the standard clayboard black sizes.
Please Note:
- Pricing: All pricing shown is approximate. Since every photo/artwork layout is unique, the artist will work with the client directly to determine exact pricing based on the number of subjects, complexity and layout of the photo.
- Sizes: Optimal canvas sizes will be recommended based on the client's photo. Smaller canvas sizes may limit how much of the subject can be shown and the level of the detail that can be drawn.
- Subjects: Detailed backgrounds, intricate patterns of clothing, or highly detailed portions of the photo (hands, objects, etc) may be counted as an additional subject and will be added to the cost. If desired, the artist can make recommendations to simplify or stylize the background, layout, and level of detail to reduce the overall cost and complexity.
- Ordering and Payment: Save 15% if payment is made in full at time of the ordering. All orders must be accompanied by a 50% non-refundable deposit. The deposit insures the price for one year and allows time for the photos to be sent or resent.
- Photographs: Photographs must be clear and show excellent detail. Digital photographs must be at least 800x600 pixels resolution (higher is better). Printed photos that are mailed to the artist must have heads at least 1 1/2 inches tall. The artist will work with clients to make suggestions, etc.
- Shipping: Allow 8 to 10 weeks for the artwork to be completed and delivered. Portraits are mailed by U.S Postal Services. Shipping and Handling is approx $15.00 within U.S. Actual shipping cost will be determined and added to orders in the final invoice before shipment.
